In-Person Trialogues

Each November, the Monterey Trialogue hosts leading experts and ex-officials from the United States, Russia, and China for a closed door conference in a fourth country of mutual strategic interest. Over three days, participants examine the trilateral relationship on its own terms and in the context of the host region. Our inaugural meeting was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Our next conference will take place in Cape Town, South Africa. The Monterey Trialogue also convenes smaller trilateral meetings dedicated to the investigation of a particular theme, such as the Arctic, outer space, and cyber space.
