The first of three program-specific 2015 Middlebury Institute Career Fairs was held at the Monterey Conference Center on Friday, February 27th, with a focus on Translation, Interpretation and Localization Management. Fifty employers were represented at the fair, including widely known brands such as Apple, Box, eBay, Honda, Kiva, Language Line, Netflix, Transperfect, and Workday.

Middlebury Institute alumni were again very well-represented among recruiters at the fair, with more than 30 alumni present to recruit on behalf of their organizations. Some have become regulars, returning each year to recruit more students for internships and full-time post-graduation positions, while others just graduated last May and were sent by their employers to seek out more qualified professionals like themselves. The return of alumni in the role of recruiters is always a joyous occasion and a great indication of the quality of the Institute’s programs.

Ahead are two other MIIS Career Fairs geared towards aspiring professionals from the Graduate School of International Policy and Management. On March 13th, the MIIS Policy and Management Fair will be held in San Francisco, followed by an alumni networking event. The third session will be held in Washington D.C. on March 20th, in connection with the annual Washington DC. spring break trip organized by the Center for Advising and Career Services, and will include numerous opportunities for interactions with alumni.
