Office Services is the Institute’s mailing/shipping and authorized drop-off center for outgoing letters and packages within the U.S. and abroad via USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, with daily scheduled pickups Monday through Friday. We also provide mailing services and supplies, available for purchase.

International and Domestic Mail and Express Courier Services

Please bring outgoing mail items by 3:15 p.m. to allow time to process for that day’s pickup. USPS letters and packages can be brought to our office for processing without a shipping request form. For other mailing services, use the appropriate forms below:

International Packages 

  • All international mail that is not a letter, card, or document requires a custom form.

  • USPS will only accept handwritten customs forms at their counters.

  • Items being sent from our office require completion of an online customs form.

Using the Online Customs Form

  • Select “Ship Now” to pay with your credit/debit card online, then complete and print the customs form and bring it to Office Services for pickup.

  • Select “Create Forms” to complete and print the customs form, and pay for postage with cash or check at Office Services.

  • Please bring your item to Office Services no later than 3:15 p.m. to allow for processing for same day pickup.

  • Please be sure to select single-sided printing from the printing options. Many of the printers on campus are automatically set to double-sided.

  • Please be sure to sign and date all copies printed and include them all with your parcel.

Please print and complete this form when submitting a copy request at the service counter or the drop box at Office Services. Forms are also available at Office Services.

Additionally, the Copy Request Form can be used as a reference for the type, color, and sizes of paper we have available.

The forms also serve as a guide for the information we require when you are emailing your request to us.

Black Ink Prints: five cents per single-sided print/10 cents per double-sided print.

Color Prints: fifty cents per single-sided print /$1.00 per double-sided print.

Additional cost for printing on cardstock, résumé paper, and transparencies.

Paper Sizes: 8.5”x11” (Letter), 8.5”x14” (Legal) and 11”x17” (Ledger).

Please convert your document to be printed into a PDF (Adobe Acrobat file) before emailing it to us. Doing this ensures the integrity of your layout. Please note: all computers in Office Services are PC. We are unable to open Mac files.

Transmittal within the U.S. is 50 cents per single-sided page. Outside of the U.S. is $1.00 per single-sided page. Receiving faxes is free of charge. We ask that you please notify us prior to having a fax sent to our office, as we often get faxes that are not meant for the Institute.

Stationery orders can be submitted using the online ordering form.

Orders are sent to Middlebury the second Monday of the month.

Orders will be grouped together whenever possible so we may receive the best pricing. Please be advised that turnaround time is a minimum of two weeks. Please plan accordingly. Department-specific items may not be grouped with other orders to receive price breaks.

Please indicate in the “Other” field if the order needs to be expedited. Otherwise, the order will be held and placed with the next group order.

Business Cards

Employee Business Cards

Cards may be ordered from Middlebury Printing and Mailing Services using the online business card order form. Cards are printed in quantities of 150. Middlebury business cards are printed in blue and black ink on two-color stock. See examples of employee business cards. You will receive a PDF proof for approval before printing. Normal turnaround is five to 10 working days.

Student Business Cards

Each student enrolled in a full-time course of study at the Institute may order one box of 150 business cards per academic year using the online business card order form. In both the “Department” and “Billing Index” fields, enter “MIIS student”. In the “Title 2 or Department” field, enter your degree program name. You will receive a PDF proof for approval before printing. Printed cards will be delivered to the Center for Advising and Career Services for distribution.

Couriers—with the exception of DHL and FedEx GROUND—pick up daily at 3:30 p.m.

DHL needs to be called by noon to schedule a pickup the same day.
