Information Technology Services (ITS) supports the use of campus information technologies to the entire Middlebury Institute community.

You can find us on the third floor of Casa Fuente, room 320. Take the stairwell to the right of Human Resources. We're at the corner of the hallway.

Help Desk

The ITS Help Desk is the first point of contact for reporting all technology issues. You can call, email, visit, or directly submit your request via WebHelpDesk, our ticket management system.

Students are advised to bring their Student Identification cards with them to verify access to their accounts.

Other Services

Email

We provide students with email accounts, which are valid until six months after graduation. Your email id and password are the same credentials you'll use to access all other Institute IT resources, including wireless network, Institute computers, Canvas, library database, etc. Bannerweb is the only resource with a separate id/password.

Computer Labs

PC computers are available for student projects in the Library and the Pacific Lab on the first floor of Casa Fuente.

Printing

Each semester students receive $50 of printing credit, approximately 1,000 pages. Each printed page costs $.05, single-sided or double-sided. If you need additional credit during a semester, you can purchase Top-Up cards at the Library. Check your student printing balance at the Papercut website.

Knowledge Base

Knowledge Base is a repository of how-to’s, tutorials, and troubleshooting documents on a wide variety of Information Technology topics—everything from laptop questions to account activation to wireless set-up.

Password Reset

To set up your network/email account, or if your password has expired, or you are having problems accessing a Middlebury Institute site (or, if you simply forgot your password) start by resetting your password at http://go.middlebury.edu/activate.

Use your BannerWeb ID and PIN to log in to Activate.

Upon your first login to the Activate page, you'll learn your account id and set your password. Be sure to note your id, displayed in red.

BannerWeb PIN

BannerWeb allows students, faculty, and staff to access institutional administrative and academic records and to enter timecard information.

If you forget your Bannerweb PIN, go to the logon page and click the "Forgot PIN?" option. If you cannot reset your PIN this way, then you will need to visit the ITS Help Desk in Casa Fuente 320 with a current ID badge.
