This year’s awardees, Ed Brzytwa, Vladimir Cernavskis and Jennifer Ullman, were recognized at the Spring Commencement ceremony.
Monterey Institute alumna Tricia Bean shares her love of language and interest in other cultures with her students at Carmel High School, while also collaborating regularly with the Institute: “I enjoy being able to give back to the institution that has given me so much.”

More than 90 employers from around the world participated in the Monterey Institute Career Fair on Friday, excited about the opportunity to recruit students with unique skills and capabilities.
Twenty-five Monterey Institute students are taking part in a year-long development practicum experience that includes a fall semester course on policy analysis and project design, a research trip to Peru in January, and a spring semester course focused on data analysis and crafting a final report.
Literally taking class work to the field, two Monterey Institute students and a recent alumna traveled to Haiti this January to implement a student-designed teacher-training curriculum.
