Voices of Africa, the first annual Africa Conference at the Middlebury Institute, will be held on Saturday, April 25th highlighting emerging opportunities in the continent. The event is free and open to anyone interested in African culture and positive development.
As part of a semester-long seminar on foreign policy, trade, and security in East Asia, two Middlebury Institute faculty members led students on a ten-day spring break trip to their native countries of Japan and China.
“Learning a language is one of the deepest forms of respect you can extend to another culture,” says Thor Sawin, member of the Middlebury Institute TESOL/TFL faculty.
