Custom Language Services (CLS) has a long history of working with diplomats from foreign ministries around the world.
We offer customized language programs on our campus in Monterey, California, at our location in downtown Washington DC, or internationally at your location. Participants can design a personalized program with the option of studying two languages simultaneously.
We offer 1-2 year and short-term options (degree or non-degree) in the following languages:
- Integrated content: Language Skills focus with content such as International Relations, Nonproliferation, Terrorism Studies, etc.
- Customized and flexible curriculum and program dates
- Dual language study option
Our diplomat programs incorporate a wide range of field-specific content and terminology through a practical, real-world approach using a content-based instructional model (CBI).
We design programs for diplomats that hone communication skills in one or more languages with semester, academic-year, and short-term program options. For higher-levels, language skills development can be integrated with field-specific coursework from our graduate programs.
Content areas may include international policy and diplomacy, non-proliferation and terrorism studies, trade and commerce, environment and energy, and sustainable development providing participants opportunities to interact with graduate students and faculty who are working directly in the field of international relations.
