Professor Jason Blazakis, director of the Institute’s Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC) presented at a workshop convened by the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna, Austria in December.

The title of the workshop was “Regional Workshop for South-Eastern Europe on Foreign Terrorist Fighters’ Cases. Manual for Judicial Training Institutes,” and it focused on the threat posed by foreign terrorist fighters, built on previous efforts to provide judicial and law enforcement authorities the ability to proactively counter the threat posed by returning fighters.Blazakis gave two presentations - both focusing on Open Source Investigative Techniques.
