Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC) Director Jason Blazakis was quoted in a Vice article entitled The U.S. Doesn’t Prosecute Far Right Extremists as Terrorists. Here’s How it Could.

Director Blazakis stated that it “would be a very positive step for the current administration to use its FTO [Foreign Terrorist Organization] tool in a way that didn’t solely look at Islamist, jihadist, and Salafi organizations.” He further commented that designating domestic far-right groups as terrorist organizations would better allow law enforcement informants to infiltrate them through their foreign affiliates.
