Journalist and author, Vladimir Pozner, delivered two in-person lectures at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies on November 9 and 11.

Mr. Pozner’s Tuesday talk and discussion focused on the latest in his series of documentary travelogue films in which he and late-night talk show host Ivan Urgant travel along the Volga river “in search of the Russian soul.” On Thursday, Mr. Pozner focused instead on issues of deteriorating U.S.-Russia relations, the media landscape in both countries, and fielded questions about everything from the Belarus-Poland border crisis to the gap in understanding between young and old in Russia.

Mr. Pozner’s visit was co-sponsored by the Monterey Initiative in Russian Studies and Track Two: An Institute for Citizen Diplomacy.
