Our Mixed-Methods Evaluation, Training, and Analysis (META) Lab addresses the rising demand for data-driven policy analysis and data-literate policy professionals.
By creating a dynamic environment for students and faculty to share in cutting-edge approaches to research and evaluation, the META Lab provides a repository of analytic expertise to support courses and collaborates with other research centers on campus and around the world.
Students can gain professional work experience by participating in the lab’s varied research and professional projects and/or collaborating with local, regional, and international groups to provide high-level advice and consultation.

Scope of Services
META Lab is run by graduate students under the direction and consultation of the faculty director. Students can find leadership roles in lab management, hone their skills by teaching or attending a Geek Out session, and seek or give a one-on-one tutoring session. Students are encouraged to bring their research ideas to the lab, where they can earn the opportunity to seek funding, manage a project, and participate in cutting-edge research in one or more of the many analytic areas that the lab supports.
The META Lab provides services for a continually evolving palette of tools and methods for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing qualitative and quantitative data. We maintain a comprehensive list of resources that is constantly evolving.
