    Exclusive: US intel shows Saudi Arabia escalated its missile program with help from China

    As reported by CNN, the U.S. government has acquired information showing that Saudi Arabia has expanded its missile program with assistance from China. A satellite image from November 2018, captured by Planet Labs at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, shows the apparent ballistic missile site. Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the Middlebury Institute, analyzed the same site in 2019 and saw a similar level of activity.

A popular South Korean newspaper reported that Kim had executed five of his top officials. These claims were tweeted about by Joshua Pollack, a North Korea expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, who gave his insights, sorting fact from fiction.

    Shanahan breaks with Trump over North Korea missile test

    Recent North Korean missile testing violated United Nations resolutions, according to acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan. President Trump disagreed, saying he didn’t think North Korea violated anything and that he was not concerned about their testing. Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the Middlebury Institute, inspected a missile launch photo from Pyongyang and confirmed that North Korea had, in fact, launched a short-range missile.
