This summer 43 Frontier Market Scouts will be working with social entrepreneurs in 15 countries as part of this unique Monterey Institute-sponsored program that provides professionals and students with academic and in-the-field training in the field of social impact investing.
Eleven students from top-tier universities will take part in the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies’ 2013 Summer Undergraduate Internship in Nonproliferation Studies.
Summer has arrived at the Monterey Institute with an influx of students studying Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish and Japanese as part of the Monterey Institute’s Summer Intensive Language Program, and an even more international group enrolled in the Intensive English Program.
This summer, thirteen Monterey Institute students received financial and academic support to pursue professional fellowships around the world as part of the Center for the Blue Economy Fellowship Program.
Inspired by the “effective leadership” of Monterey Institute alumnus Ryan Gonzalez, her supervisor at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization in Vienna, Amy Slay decided to follow in his footsteps at MIIS.
