This seminar will reveal the round-the-clock efforts of a mid-sized Language Service Provider (LSP) as it carefully cultivates and manages a growing database of international contract linguists and global support staff. We will peel back the curtain and detail our efforts, and share tools and technologies aimed at managing the recruitment, selection, qualification, performance rating and development of external resources as per our overall operations strategy and priorities.
Representatives from the CIA's Open Source Enterprise invite you to take part in a simulation of open source intelligence analysis. Students will be posed real-world problems related to nonproliferation, counterterrorism, and global issues and asked to find and analyze open source information. We ask that students bring computers to the session in order to fully participate in the session. Please note this activity is limited to MIIS students and staff who are US citizens.
Three recent graduates of the Middlebury Institute were chosen out of 600 applicants to serve as Catholic Relief Services Fellows in the Philippines, Malawi and Liberia. The fellowships offer paths to permanent positions.
