Q Are fellows required to attend the Monterey Symposium in its entirety?
Yes, we require a commitment from the accepted candidates that they would be attending the full symposium. A few days will be granted as “library” days in consultation with the administrators of the Monterey Symposium.
Q What does a typical daily schedule at the Symposium entail?
A typical day includes a rigorous full-day academic curriculum with additional preparatory content such as readings and assignments to be completed outside of instruction hours on fellows’ own time. Additional assignments are entirely at the discretion of visiting experts conducting the modules.
