Gaming platforms have become a popular source of recruitment for far-right extremist groups. Newhouse says that gaming platforms provide social hooks that help extremists organize and spread. He also warned that while social media companies have dedicated counterterrorism teams, video games lack the resources or expertise to combat extremism effectively.
