The House Democrats’ report, “Solving the Climate Crisis,” is the most comprehensive response to the climate emergency in the history of Congress. This is a great splash forward that all Americans should support, however it misses key elements addressed in the Ocean Climate Action Plan-Blue New Deal. With additional recommendations from the Ocean Climate Action Plan, we could both meet our climate targets and revitalize our economy from sea to shining sea.

A group of women scholars from the Middlebury Institute have launched the West Coast chapter of Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security, and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS), an international nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing more voices into the security conversation.
The Middlebury Institute community is mourning the sudden loss of nonproliferation and terrorism studies student Michael (Mike) Donnelly. Mike was a “much loved” and integral part of the Institute’s Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC) team, “a natural leader who brought out the best in his colleagues.”
