Former Navy Seal and retired U.S. Navy Captain, Mr. Paul Shemella, briefed a full house at the second CTEC Speaker Series event of the semester. Mr. Shemella discussed wicked national security problems – problems with no final end state. He discussed the challenges of terrorism, drugs, crime, and maritime security. As a contractor at the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Civilian-Military Relations, Mr. Shemella is actively engaged in training foreign governments on a wide-array of national security challenges. The next CTEC Speaker Series event will be on ProPublica Reporter and PBS Front Line Journalist, Sebastian Rotella as he discusses his journalism and research on terrorism.
