We recognize Payne Fellows and finalists and their commitment to working on the front lines of some of the most pressing global challenges of our times and see them as a valuable part of our campus community and global alumni network. Our alumni work with organizations like USAID, the United Nations, the U.S. State Department, and development organizations around the world. Get Your Payne Scholarship

Payne Fellows

For Fellows, the scholarship award will cover the difference between your Payne Fellowship tuition assistance award and full-time tuition at the Middlebury Institute for any of our in-person master’s degrees. In total, 100% of your tuition will be covered ($48K+ per year).

Please note that students will be responsible for any non-tuition fees, such as the student activity fee, required for enrollment.

Payne Finalists

We guarantee finalists a 35 percent ($16.5K+ annual) scholarship toward a Middlebury Institute in-person degree program. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to receive additional merit and need-based scholarships.

If you are interested in an online degree program, you can still waive the application fee and benefit from the lower tuition cost for our online programs.
