Beginning with students admitted for fall 2021, alumni of these institutions are guaranteed a $10,000 annual scholarship–prorated by program length–toward an onsite master’s degree at the Middlebury Institute in Monterey, California. Graduates will also be eligible for additional merit and need-based scholarships.
“The goal of offering this scholarship is to expand access to the Middlebury Institute to a broader group of students,” said Sadia Khan, director of admissions at the Institute. “The scholarship also helps support the Institute’s commitment to diversity.”
Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis for enrollment in fall 2021. The Institute awards scholarships once a student has met admissions requirements for their program and the Institute has received confirmation from their undergraduate institution during the admissions review. Applicants should fill out this form to confirm their interest in the scholarship.
The Middlebury Institute of International Studies is a graduate school that offers 13 master’s degree programs, three joint degree programs, five joint bachelor’s/master’s degree programs, certificates, and professional development.
Middlebury Language Schools Continues Scholarships to HBCU, HSI, and TCU Students
The Middlebury Language Schools, located in Middlebury, Vermont, will continue to offer competitive scholarships to students of HBCUs, HSIs, and TCUs.
The Middlebury Language Schools’ scholarships–offered now for 15 years–are open to all students regardless of citizenship. Recipients will receive funding to cover the total fee for tuition, room, and board for a summer of study at one of the 12 Language Schools.
Students must meet the scholarship criteria for the Middlebury Language Schools, which include full-time enrollment at their institutions at the time of application and high academic achievement. Students are strongly encouraged to also apply for regular Middlebury need-based financial aid. The deadline for applications for 2021 has passed. The deadline for the summer of 2022 is December 15, 2021.
“With this partnership, we hope to see the number of applications and enrolled students increase each summer,” said Steve Snyder, dean of Language Schools and vice president for academic affairs.
